That was one of the weirdest experiences of my life.... I'm not sure if everyone was stoned, aliens had taken over their bodies, or they ate paint chips when they were little...BUT, first off, it was probably a crisp 40 degrees in the place, we never got a drink menu (at a brewery), we never got any silverware (while eating lunch), there were weird moments when someone was dropping what sounded like stainless steel pans for a good 5 minutes, there was a weird man letting his tiny dog poop out in the courtyard, the waiter would poke his head in the room look around real quick and then pop out (this happened like 5 times), while I was looking at the ticket and talking to him- he asked if we needed our ticket and my favorite part- the random empty chair that was in the doorway that everyone just walked around....I think I just ate in the Twilight Zone....the food was ok (kind of hard to mess up a salad)... but it was hard to focus on that with all the weird behavior happening all around us...I kind of feel stoned now as well....
Had the mushroom appetizer and beef tip pasta entree. Both were excellently balanced in flavour. Wait staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Portions were generous. Took home half my pasta but still had to pack away some of the exceptional chocolate mousse.
Sat at the bar for dinner that is free sitting, the beer was cold and brewed in house and amazing. Nate was great and personable with a laid back attitude. Had Brussel sprouts as a appetizer, they were OK. Over done in my opinion. Had rack of roasted lamb for dinner and at $32.00 it was well worth it. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable laid back atmosphere with good brews and amazing food.
We had dinner here after a long day of mountain and desert driving. Started off with a very respectable ipa brewed on site. My wife had a steak salad and I had the pan-fried trout. The food was fresh and perfectly prepared. They mainly use local ingredients, which we appreciate. Cool decor, quiet enough that we could readily converse. Both locals and tourists eating here, a good sign. Meagan our waitress was the best. Go!
Quite possibly the best restaurant I have been to in a long time. It's the first place I haven't been disappointed in the food. The slow Wyoming pace is great for enjoying your food and the people you are having dinner with. Even though we got one of the last tables and the place was packed, it was still possible to have a conversation.
